Experience / Learnings From Dr. Ambedkar Audiobook Project!

RAJASHREE KULKARNI: (VOLUME- 15, 16, 26)

I am Rajashree Kulkarni from Pune. My education is M. Com, M. Phil from Amravati University. I am a housewife and used to take accountancy tuitions at home after my sons grew up. When my kids were small, I used to read for a blind student. That time Blind students had to go to the volunteer’s house and we used to read to them for an hour or so. Then I started teaching in a blind school which is very close to my house. I used to teach 8 and 9th-standard students history, geography, and science in Marathi. Many times I have helped as a writer in exams as well. But all these activities stopped during the lockdown and then one day I got to know about let’s record, then I started recording some motivational books, Then recorded notes for IAS Aspirant, Manoj. Then I started recording for Ambedkar. My experience was good but I found it difficult also, there were charts and tables which I found time-consuming and you have to be very very careful about reading correct numbers. The only thing was that I was a bit reluctant because of the time constraints about finishing the recording. Volunteers are doing it willingly but sometimes they have other responsibilities also. Definitely, the books are very informative and knowledgeable, and thank you all for giving me the chance to record it. 🙏
